In 2003, we went to pursue our dream in a village near Gilgit, the Northern Areas of Baltikstan (The Himalaya's). We met very friendly people in Goharabad, our jeep was surrounded by all these children, I smiled and said hello to everyone, they replied hello with their beautiful eyes full of God's Light as they searched for acceptance. I held my tears as I stood there with them. The compulsion was so great I almost reached out and embraced all the little children. We decided to do something meaningful for them, so we started Spark of Hope Primary School, the first English medium school of excellence.
Today there are over 189 children attending school from nursery to grade twelve. The school has been established through "Divine Grace" putting a spark in the student's eyes. That day showed me pure Light of God's sweet love. In my own way I have touched the lives of the villagers, and learned to LOVE PEOPLE AND USE THINGS - NOT LOVE THINGS AND USE PEOPLE.
